On May 24, Guo Ningning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor, conducted a field visit to Fuqing to oversee the development of the China–Indonesia “Twin Parks” initiative, in conjunction with the thematic education campaign on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. She inspected representative enterprises, including Fujian Kuncai Material Technology Co., Ltd., and gained an in-depth understanding of the progress of the China–Indonesia “Twin Parks” project and the development of industrial cooperation. Mayor Wu Xiande accompanied her during the inspection.

Guo Ningning emphasized that the China–Indonesia “Twin Parks” initiative is a major strategic project personally championed and advanced by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and also a vivid example of Fujian’s innovative economic and trade cooperation with Indonesia under the Belt and Road Initiative.

It is essential to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions, and in accordance with the directives delivered by Secretary Zhou Zuyi during his visit to Indonesia, we must fully leverage the advantages of Fujian as a core hub of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, actively expand two-way trade and investment between Fujian and Indonesia, and establish a demonstration park for economic and trade cooperation between Fujian and ASEAN countries.

We must proactively integrate into the high-quality joint development of the Belt and Road Initiative, seize historic opportunities for development, benchmark against world-class standards, plan ahead and strengthen our core businesses, accelerate industrial investment in the park, and strive to bring key projects online and achieve early results.

We must make full use of all relevant policies, continuously intensify efforts to attract investment, plan for the introduction of more industrial projects, focus on enhancing capabilities in advanced processing and value‑added manufacturing, draw more high‑quality enterprises to the park, foster the clustering of upstream and downstream industries, strengthen industrial clusters, and build distinctive brands in areas such as distant‑water fisheries and food processing.

It is essential to fully leverage the advantages of the “Two Countries, Two Parks” platform, facilitate smooth trade, and comprehensively enhance the transportation, warehousing, and distribution capabilities for bulk food ingredients and other commodities.

It is essential to accelerate the intelligent and digital transformation of traditional industries, fully unlock the value of technology, and drive the industrial and value chains toward higher-end segments.

We must vigorously develop overseas resources and markets, expand product supply and sales channels, and explore the deep integration of industrial, supply, and value chains. This will enable the China–Indonesia “Twin Parks” initiative to advance to a larger scale, broader scope, and higher level, turning it into a flagship project under the Belt and Road Initiative and yielding greater results in economic, trade, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges.
