Mr. Xie Bingkun
Awarded the title of “Honorary Citizen of Fuqing City”
To encourage and recognize new Fuzhou natives who have made outstanding contributions to Fuzhou City’s economic development, social programs, public‑welfare and charitable causes, and international exchanges, the 44th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 17th People’s Congress of Fuzhou City reviewed and approved a proposal submitted by the municipal government on December 15, deciding to confer the title of “Honorary Citizen of Fuzhou City” upon Xie Bingkun and nine other individuals.
In 2005, Mr. Xie Bingkun invested in and established a factory in Fuqing, leading the company to remain steadfastly focused on the research, development, production, and sales of pearlescent materials. Leveraging the policy advantages, port facilities, and free-trade zone status of the Jiangyin Port City Economic Zone in Fuqing, Mr. Xie Bingkun spearheaded the founding of two companies—Fushi New Materials and Zhengtai New Materials—employing the world’s first extraction‑based technology. Upon completion, these facilities are expected to produce 1 million tons of titanium dioxide and 800,000 tons of iron oxide annually, making substantial contributions to Fuqing’s industrial output and tax revenues.
