2024 year 6 month 5 The day is the 53 World Environment Day ( The World Environment Day ). 2015 In [year], with the adoption of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, the world reached a consensus: global carbon dioxide emissions should achieve net-zero by mid-century, and global greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced to… 2025 Peak emissions before the end of the year. China attaches great importance to the global climate neutrality agenda, has set the dual carbon goals, and will strive to… 2030 Achieve carbon peak before the end of the year, 2060 Achieve carbon neutrality before the end of the year.

Kunchai Technology firmly recognizes that decarbonization and waste reduction are urgent priorities, and is committed to achieving its sustainability goals through four core initiatives.

l Decarbonization of the power sector -- From gray power to green power

Kunchai Technology has built Fujian Province’s largest rooftop photovoltaic power generation project. 50 ten thousand square meters), which can reduce carbon emissions annually 11060 tons, carbon dust 3886 tons and sulfur dioxide 426 tons, equivalent to planting trees annually 46610 Moreover, the use of clean energy not only addresses the reliance on fossil fuels in production but also reduces greenhouse gas emissions, thereby playing a crucial role in achieving the goals of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality.

l Energy Decarbonization

In the conversion of steam to electricity, Kuncai employs staged steam recovery and the reuse of waste heat from nuclear‑powered wastewater as its steam source. This approach not only reduces energy consumption and enhances energy efficiency but also helps mitigate the climate impacts associated with fossil fuels.

l Process Decarbonization

Kuncai Technology employs the world’s first extraction‑based process for producing titanium dioxide. Compared with the mainstream processes, which require three high‑temperature calcination steps during production, the extraction method necessitates only a single high‑temperature calcination stage, and the temperature in each calcination step is lower than that of conventional methods. 43% , with lower energy consumption and carbon emissions that account for only a fraction of those associated with the conventional end-to-end process for producing titanium dioxide. 33% . Data show that, 2016 The average carbon footprint per ton of pigment produced in the titanium dioxide industry is 4.9 Tons of carbon dioxide—Kuncai is far ahead in its low-carbon emission-reduction efforts.

l Zero-waste production

Kuncai Technology’s extraction process achieves closed-loop resource utilization across the entire industry, with the recycling of key auxiliary materials and zero solid waste generation in the production process. Moreover, wastewater generated during production is recycled and partially converted into by‑products. - Titanium chloride; after partial calcination at low temperatures, it is incorporated into construction materials (such as cement and asphalt) as a source of low‑level iron oxide, thereby making a significant contribution to addressing environmental challenges such as water pollution and hazardous waste contamination.

The path to carbon reduction is long and fraught with challenges.

Looking ahead, Kunchai Technology will actively fulfill its social responsibilities and explore even greater possibilities.

l Carbon Footprint Transparency

Kuncai Technology will provide comprehensive and transparent product carbon‑emission data, enabling customers and upstream and downstream partners to understand the carbon‑reduction benefits their business operations and products achieve when using Kuncai Technology’s titanium dioxide and iron oxide pigments.

l Carbon Footprint Digitization

Kunchai Technology will strictly adhere to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (an international standard that establishes rules for assessing and reporting greenhouse gas emissions) and ISO14067 (Based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol) ISO Standard), assessing and measuring the carbon footprint of products currently on the market. The product carbon footprint encompasses all greenhouse gas emissions associated with the product, covering its entire life cycle.
