On September 11, Nkosikho Zwelivelu Mandela, a traditional leader from the Mvezo Komkhulu region in South Africa, led a delegation to visit Zhengtai New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. in the Jiangyin Port City Economic Zone of Fuzhou, accompanied by Mr. Zhong Hande, Chairman of the Board of International Resources Co., Ltd., and other senior executives.

On September 11, Nkosi Zwelivelu Mandela, a traditional leader from the Mvezo Komkhulu region in South Africa, led a delegation to visit Zhengtai New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. in the Jiangyin Port City Economic Zone of Fuzhou, accompanied by Mr. Zhong Hande, Chairman of the Board of International Resources Co., Ltd., and other senior executives.

Mr. Xie Bingkun accompanied Nelson Mandela and his delegation on a visit to the Jiangyin Port. Mandela highly praised the port’s modern management and expressed strong confidence in advancing the development of port‑related service enterprises and in fostering cooperation between Kuncai and South African mining companies.

At the Zhengtai New Materials plant, Dr. Cao Zhicheng, Technical Director of Kunchai Technology, provided Mandela and his delegation with a detailed overview of Kunchai and Zhengtai’s development plans, the factory layout, and the production processes. He also gave a comprehensive presentation on the company’s independently developed titanium dioxide production technology based on extraction, as well as its production control system, sales system, digital systems, and safety management system.

In the reception room of Zhengtai New Materials, Mr. Xie Bingkun warmly welcomed and cordially met with Nelson Mandela and his delegation. Mr. Xie first outlined Kuncai Technology’s development history, its production and operational performance, and its global growth strategy, expressing strong confidence in the company’s cooperation with South Africa. He then provided a comprehensive analysis of the feasibility of partnering with South African mineral resources under the framework of China–Africa strategic cooperation, voicing robust support for technological innovation, technical assistance, and strategic collaboration in South African mineral development. Furthermore, he stated his willingness to leverage Kuncai Technology’s strengths in R&D, international logistics, mineral utilization, and production development to provide all‑round support for South Africa’s progress and cooperation across education, transportation, trade, and the mining sector.
Mandela and his delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by Mr. Xie Bingkun, recalled General Secretary Xi Jinping’s visit to South Africa and the series of measures he has taken to support the country’s development, and conveyed their heartfelt congratulations on China’s remarkable economic achievements. He noted that South Africa is currently Africa’s second-largest economy, with a high standard of living and a relatively stable economy compared to other African nations. The country boasts well-developed sectors in finance, law, telecommunications, energy, and transportation, supported by comprehensive physical infrastructure; however, it still needs to accelerate international cooperation in certain technological fields. He expressed hope for deepened collaboration and exchanges with China and with Kuncai Technology, aiming to fully leverage South Africa’s abundant mineral resources and foster long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with Chinese enterprises.
Kuncai has responded to the national call by taking the Mapochs mine project in South Africa as the cornerstone for fostering China–Africa friendship and cooperation. During this meeting, all three parties expressed strong confidence in the Mapochs mine project and forged a deep bond of friendship. Mr. Mandela extended an invitation to Chairman Xie Bingkun to pay another visit to South Africa and to his hometown. The successful collaboration on this project has effectively leveraged the complementary strengths of South Africa and Kuncai Technology in industry, geography, and resources, comprehensively advancing the integrated development and utilization of vanadium–titanium resources, extending the upstream segments of the industrial chain, and enhancing the overall competitiveness of Kuncai’s vanadium–titanium value chain.
