Kuncai’s proprietary processes, including raw-material purification, yield iron oxide yellow pigments with high tinting strength, excellent dispersibility, low metallic impurity levels, and uniform particle size. Moreover, its unique raw-material reaction produces particles with a distinctive cylindrical morphology, endowing the product with superior opacity and low oil absorption.
Product Features
The FeOEX‑Y series products utilize Kuncai’s world‑first hydrochloric acid‑based extraction process to produce raw materials with low heavy metal and impurity levels. The iron oxide manufactured via a liquid caustic neutralization process exhibits faster reaction kinetics and lower energy consumption compared with conventional sulfuric acid, nitric acid, or mixed‑acid methods. It also boasts high tinting strength and excellent opacity, enabling reduced usage of pigments in coatings, plastics, and cosmetics while promoting environmental sustainability.
Application areas
- High tinting strength: Kuncai’s specially formulated liquid alkali‑neutralized iron oxides are produced under automated process control, ensuring a stable crystal‑nucleation process, uniform particle size, and strong tinting power.
- High hiding power: Iron oxide is produced by neutralizing with liquid caustic soda followed by air oxidation, resulting in uniform particle size and consistent wetting performance in the paint film, thereby enhancing hiding power; the relative hiding power exceeds 10%.
- Low oil absorption: In the production of iron oxide, liquid caustic soda is used to neutralize air oxidation, resulting in denser particles with lower oil absorption. This facilitates better dispersion and wetting, making the product easier to use.
- Low impurities: Kuncai pioneered an extraction-based method for preparing reaction raw materials, resulting in low heavy-metal content. The reaction is conducted in a sealed environment, ensuring no additional impurities are introduced, and the product meets cosmetic-grade standards.
